“France is a principal partner to us,” the prime minister said at the meeting. He also highlighted the favourable results of the Year of France in Russia and the Year of Russia in France.

"In the remaining months of this year, the budget will receive 91 billion roubles in extra revenues. Apart from this, some government agencies have managed to save funds which were already allocated in some areas, such as debt management, and also through optimising work in general. In connection with this, I would ask you to draft a number of amendments to the current 2010 budget in order to resolve some urgent issues, without waiting until January."

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Sergei Shoigu

Mr Putin and Mr Shoigu discussed the issues related to obtaining special equipment for the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, in particular equipment for fighting forest fires. Moreover, the minister briefed the prime minister on the state of the national civil defence system.
