Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said that Russia has always supported China on the most sensitive issues. He assured the Chinese vice president that Russia “is ready to continue building its relations with China based on respect for our interests. Both Russia and China have many common interests.”
“The government must create the conditions necessary for small and medium businesses to succeed. <…> The most important thing is that officials of all ranks understand that the ban on unwarranted interference in businesses is not a campaign slogan, a temporary government response to the recession, or a temporary break for businesses. It is the long-term, final policy of this country.”
“The Year of the Chinese Language in Russia is a trailblazing project reflecting the unique current relations between Russia and China. The number of ambitious joint projects grows with every passing day,” Mr Putin said.
