Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with Renault-Nissan President Carlos Ghosn
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has invited Renault-Nissan to participate in a joint venture in the Russian Far East: “There will be a lot of demand for its products there. The local people are used to Japanese cars, and Nissans will be very popular.”
The two leaders discussed the situation in the republic, last year’s economic results and plans for the future.
“It is necessary to establish mechanisms that will work effectively in local conditions to attract funds to the district from diverse sources—the federal budget as well as commercial banks and private companies— thus setting up the conditions for Ingushetia’s development.”
