Prime Minister Vladimir Putin holds talks with Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin believes that Russian-Croatian relations are developing successfully. In the past few years, Russia has become the third largest importer of Croatian products after Germany and Italy.

Russia considers Croatia to be its important and reliable partner in the Balkans and in Europe as a whole, Mr Putin said, adding that the talks had been highly successful. In turn, Ms Kosor said that they had discussed economic, energy and cultural cooperation, as well as the current and future dialogue on the South Stream.

“Our first objective is to define areas that really need government supervision, as well as sound and justified mechanisms to protect people’s rights. All procedures must be improved, with duplicate and redundant functions eliminated. We must dispense with the potential for conflicts of interest.”
