Vladimir Putin and Alexander Braverman discussed the fulfillment of some of the Prime Minister’s instructions by the Fund, including the reclamation of land after the resettlement of tenants from rundown and dilapidated housing, construction of student residences and the provision of housing for young scientists. Mr Putin also instructed Mr Braverman to review farmland usage.

The two officials discussed the region’s socio-economic development in the first half of the year, focusing on social issues and giving special attention to healthcare modernisation and increasing pay for teachers.
“Russia is facing great challenges today. We need real economic and social breakthroughs, and most importantly, we need to improve the quality of life in every region of Russia. For that, each region needs to uncover its potential, to use every competitive advantage it might have. We pay special attention in this respect to the Russian Far East and the Baikal area.”
