Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the United Russia Party’s Supreme Council

Vladimir Putin and Boris Gryzlov discussed the work of the Russian Popular Front, including preparations for nationwide primaries to select candidates. Mr Gryzlov said that 4,500 applications from prospective candidates have been received to date, and that this number continues to increase. For this reason, Vladimir Putin agreed to extend the deadline for submitting applications until July 20.
