“In all, we need to build over 2,000 houses, or more precisely 2,181 houses, across Russia by winter, including in the Volgograd Region and the Altai Territory. I’d like to remind you that the new housing must be commissioned by December 1 in the Volgograd Region and the Altai Territory, and by November 1 in the other regions. There is very little time left, which is why we are monitoring construction sites on a daily basis.”
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin meets with President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov
The discussion focused on the social and economic situation in Ingushetia. President Yevkurov said that allocations to the republic were cut by 4% last year due to improved tax collection. Housing construction in the republic was also discussed. President Yevkurov spoke about the resettlement of people from landslide risk areas.
During their meeting, Mr Putin and Mr Vinogradov discussed the provision of new housing for wildfire victims. Mr Vinogradov said 17 million roubles in compensation had been paid. Talking about social and economic conditions in the region, the governor noted that this year unemployment fell by 33%, while industry reported 13.2% growth.
“We must create a new industrial image for the region. We are especially interested in supporting “smart” production facilities with cutting-edge technology and high labour productivity, and we will modernise traditional industries and set up innovation clusters as well.”
