In the run-up to the Russian Youth Day celebrations, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Yakemenko discussed youth policy priorities for the near future, the agency’s work with troubled adolescents and gifted youth, and the agency’s relations with other government ministries and agencies in terms of implementing youth policy.

Mr Tuleyev reported on the implementation of the prime minister’s directives to raise the average wage in the coal industry. Vladimir Putin said the new legislation must safeguard the interests of people in matters of life and property insurance, but should not be an additional obstacle for the growth of the insurance industry.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrives in Novokuznetsk for a working visit and holds a meeting to discuss the situation with natural gas exports to Belarus and other energy issues

“This is a very unfortunate situation, because this conflict is with a republic, with a country with which Russia has special relations. And I would like to say that our Belarusian partners are getting Russian gas at rock-bottom prices. No other consumer pays less for Russian natural gas – no one,” said Mr Putin during the meeting.
