Prime Minister Vladimir Putin attends a meeting of the supreme governing body of the Customs Union comprising Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan at the head-of-government level

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said he was satisfied with the efficient, cooperative work that had been done to establish the Customs Union. Mr Putin said the Customs Union was outgrowing the purely economic format and was becoming a new geopolitical reality.

Mr Putin called for expanding the Customs Union, first of all by admitting EurAsEC members.
