The head of AFK Sistema briefed the Prime Minister on the production of the first Russian 90 nanometre chip, which puts Russia on a par with Europe. Mr. Putin was shown the chip and the mobile phone in which it is installed. We have leapfrogged over several generations, the Prime Minister noted.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin holds talks with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev

During the meeting, Prime Minister Putin pointed out that positive trends are emerging in the two countries’ trade and economic relations and that there are about eleven companies with Russian capital currently operating in Kyrgyzstan. “We hope that your government will create conditions that are conducive to their economic prosperity, above all for the good of Kyrgyzstan,” he said.

Vladimir Putin and Magomedsalam Magomedov discussed interethnic relations in Dagestan and across the country as a whole. As Mr Putin said, “There can be no doubt that interfaith and interethnic peace and accord are also fundamental preconditions for Russia’s very existence.”
