Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with Andrei Kostin, head of Vneshtorgbank (VTB)
Mr Putin and Mr Kostin focused on efforts to expand lending to the non-financial sectors of the economy and on “bad” assets and debts.
The meeting included discussions on regional budget stabilisation, the Murmansk transport hub and operations and unemployment in the region.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his wife Lyudmila visited a concert of iconic Russian jazz singer Larisa Dolina in Sochi.
“Despite this year's hostile financial climate, Gazprom has kept construction work on Olympic sites on schedule, and has set up the right conditions to ensure that these Olympic projects are constructed and commissioned on time,” said Mr Zubkov, opening the meeting. “Every day we undertake painstaking work on the effective use of allocated resources to ensure that we achieve this,” he added.
