Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to Sverdlovsk Region
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived in the Sverdlovsk Region on a working visit, where he visited the Nizhny Tagil Institute of Metals Research, the Uralvagonzavod research and production company and the Urals Railway Engineering Plant. Vladimir Putin also held a meeting on supplying the Russian Armed Forces with modern armour and vehicular equipment and met with Sverdlovsk Region Governor Alexander Misharin.

Mr Zubkov and Mr Charest discussed current issues regarding Russian and Canadian cooperation in trade, the economy, agriculture, the energy industry, mechanical engineering, education and culture.
