Vladimir Putin conducted a meeting of the Government Council on the Development of Domestic Film making at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK)

“We have great cinematographic legacy. Our films traditionally receive prestigious awards at international festivals. However, our films have not yet won a mass foreign audience. In other words, we are still unable to exert in full measure economic, cultural, and humanitarian influence, which is one of the most important and serious tasks of domestic film making.”

Vladimir Putin visited new pavilions and studios of the Sergei Gerasimov State University of Cinematography (VGIK)

Accompanied by VGIK Rector Vladimir Malyshev, Mr Putin visited the floor where operators conducted practical training. He was presented with a small statue of an operator with a camera, VGIK’s symbol, across his shoulder.

“Today, we will discuss the state of leading Russian manufacturers—mainly AvtoVAZ, the United Aircraft Building Corporation and the Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation.”

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen

"Relations between our countries, including our political ties, regulatory agreements and economic cooperation, have been developing very well recently."

Following their talks, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen held a joint press conference

"We are grateful to the Danish Government for giving permission for the construction of the Nord Stream gas transmission system through Danish territorial waters and part of the Danish exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea. We greatly appreciate this prompt and sound decision on the part of our colleagues. It is an example of a measured, politically unbiased approach towards energy issues and energy cooperation in Europe."

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with Igor Artemyev, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia

Mr Putin and Mr Artemyev discussed stiffening penalties for the crime of collusion and enacting of an appropriate law.
