Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to Kaluga Region
During a working visit to the Kaluga Region, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin attended the inauguration of full capacity production at a Volkswagen Group Rus auto assembly plant, visited an exhibition featuring the region’s investment projects, chaired a meeting of the Government Commission for Regional Development and met with Governor of the Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov.

The two officials discussed preparations for the State Duma hearing on the 2010-2012 federal budget.
At the ceremony, the academic council of MEPhI presented Mr Zubkov with an honorary degree for his assistance in establishing the Institute of Financial and Economic Security at MEPhI.
“In the near future, the Government will approve a programme for organising the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Karelia,” said Mr Zubkov when opening the meeting.
