The Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and the head of the IOC Coordination Commission for the preparation of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Jean-Claude Killy, have visited a section of the bypass road around Sochi intended to ease traffic in the city during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

On Saturday, the Organising Committee of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games and the 11th Paralympic Games in Sochi and Russian companies signed a number of sponsor agreements in the presence of Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Zhukov and Dmitry Kozak, Chairman

The signing of the agreements was followed by the briefings of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Mr Jean-Claude Killi, and Head of the Sochi-2014 Organising Committee Dmitry Chernyshenko for Russian and foreign journalists.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held talks with his Belarusian counterpart Sergei Sidorsky

The two Prime Ministers discussed preparations for the upcoming State Council meeting, including current issues of the Union State development, its immediate prospects and analysis of earlier achievements.

First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov chaired a meeting on the progress of the targeted programme, Development of Meat Production in Russia in 2009-2012

Mr Zubkov said the domestic meat output growth rate was encouraging. The past three years saw a growth of 13.5%, including a 6.5% increment in 2008. Poultry production grew by 15%, and pork, by 7%.
