The document reads that the Russian Government and state gas export monopoly Gazprom have been making a lot of efforts to settle the whole scope of problems in Russian-Ukrainian gas relations, primarily concerning the clearance of Ukraine’s overdue payment for the gas supplied.
"We have drafted an entire package of measures to support the real economy, and we will continue to streamline this package, but I want to repeat that we should have a clear idea of the influence of global and Russian economic developments on the nation's social sphere. And we must chart effective measures for reacting quickly to such social developments to support Russian citizens who require help."

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the R&D centre of the Kamaz truck manufacturing company during a visit to Naberezhnye Chelny, and held a meeting on additional measures to stabilize and rehabilitate the country’s auto industry.
"The recent tragic events in India and some other countries show what danger is emanating from international terrorist groups. You know better than anyone else that, regrettably, we also have many similar problems, and a lot has to be done because the threat is still great. We should concentrate on preventive actions. We should prevent the very possibility of acts of terror in Russia."
