Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with President Arsen Kanokov of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic

The republic’s economic, social, and political situation and prospects for the region’s development were discussed at the meeting.

First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov, who is on a working trip to the Ulyanovsk Region, conducted an enlarged meeting of the Government Commission on Agriculture and visited the Oktyabrsky Livestock Complex

Addressing the Government Commission on Agriculture, Mr Zubkov pointed out that “the main task of the agro-industrial sector today is to secure the availability of domestically produced staple food items.”

Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government Staff Sergei Sobyanin took part in the opening of the Russian National Exhibition in Bulgaria

At the opening ceremony, Mr Sobyanin read out Prime Minister Putin’s message to the exhibition participants.

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to St. Petersburg

During his working visit to St. Petersburg, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin took part in the presentation of a judo-training film “Learning Judo with Vladimir Putin,” made a speech at Interpol’s 77th General Assembly, met with students and professors at St Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions, conducted a conference on the development of the national film industry, reviewed the city’s flood-protection facilities in the Gulf of Finland, and attended the inauguration of a navigation pass.
