The Prime Minister said he is sure that the integration processes that both the Belarusian president and he have been involved with in recent years will bear fruit for the development of their two countries and peoples.

"According to the Federal Constitutional Law on the Government and in line with the agreements we made, I have consulted with my advisors and drafted a presidential decree on the structure of the federal executive bodies. It has been thoroughly analysed and approved by me as Prime Minister. I am now handing it over to you for consideration".

Dmitry Medvedev met with acting Deputy Prime Minister Vladislav Surkov, Presidential Aide and Head of the State Legal Directorate in the Presidential Executive Office Larisa Brychyova, Presidential Aide Arkady Dvorkovich, acting Minister of the Russian Federation and Chief of the Government Staff Anton Vaino, and others.

“These directives imply a very fast pace for the government. We have little time to prepare for them – and we must implement them despite this distracting period of forming new federal executive bodies. We have to start today.”

The meeting focused on improving social services. According to Dmitry Medvedev, it is necessary to take every effort to attract young professionals and experts who will not only enter the field because they feel it is their vocation but because there is a sound system of incentives and growth opportunities.

"The social services system should be much more modern, it should be more focused on the needs of our people."
