1987-1990: instructor/deputy manager of the organisational department of the Kuntsevo regional committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union

1990: deputy director of the Soyuz research and production association at the centre of youth labour associations of the Kuibyshev regional committee of Komsomol

1990-1997: held leading positions at privately-owned companies

1997-2000: deputy head of the administration of the Evenki Autonomous Area in Moscow, First Deputy Governor of the Evenki Autonomous Area

2000-2009: member of the third, fourth and fifth State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

2009-present: head of the Federal Service for Insurance Supervision

Awarded the Medal of the Order of Services to the Fatherland, 2nd Class
