Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow to worship before the Kursk Root Icon of the Apparition of the Mother of God, which is considered the most important relic for Orthodox Russians living abroad. Putin also spoke with representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
