Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the Torfyanovka international transport crossing point on the Russian-Finnish border in the Leningrad Region

Participants:

Mr Putin visited the car inspection point, the border and immigration posts, the hall for filling in customs forms, and the phyto-sanitary point.

During his visit to the customs, Mr Putin familiarised himself with the operation of a special scanner for lorries. It scans the inspected lorry in a minute and sends its picture to the monitor, allowing customs officials to compare it with the cargo documents.
