Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev meets with heads of space enterprises on the quality and reliability of space equipment

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the meeting that Russia must substantially upgrade the quality control system in its missile-and-space industry. He said that the Government plans to invest about 670 billion roubles in developing missile and space equipment. "This is huge money. We cannot allow a large chunk of it to be literally tossed to the wind," Mr Medvedev said.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who supervises the military industrial complex, Minister of Economic Development Andrei Belousov, Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Head of the Federal Space Agency (Roskosmos) Vladimir Popovkin, as well as directors of the industry's key enterprises.
