Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev sends condolences to the family and friends of theatre and film actor, director, TV host and People’s Artist of Russia Igor Kvasha
The message reads in part:
"Igor Kvasha was a man of many talents. He was a wonderful film actor and performed brilliantly on stage of Moscow’s famous Sovremennik Theatre, which he helped to create. He was also an accomplished director and artist. It was largely thanks to his talent and efforts that the television show Zhdi Menya was such a success and helped so many people to reconnect with their loved ones. The viewers joined Kvasha in empathising with the characters of the show and welcomed their long-awaited reunions.
“Throughout his life, Igor Kvasha set an example of worthy service to art. He was always a friendly and open person and will remain so in the hearts of all those who knew and valued him."
