First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov meets with Russian and foreign architects to discuss the construction of the Skolkovo innovation centre
Meeting participants discussed architectural concepts for the centre and evaluated projects submitted by leading architecture firms in Sweden, USA, UK, France, Singapore and the Netherlands.
Distinguished foreign architecture experts, such as Jean Pistre, Pierre de Meuron, Kazuyo Sejima and David Chipperfield, shared their views on the project, as did Andrei Bokov, president of the Russian Union of Architects, and Alexander Kudryavtsev, rector of the Moscow Institute of Architecture.
According to Mr Shuvalov, architectural designs for Skolkovo should be modern, with an emphasis on comfort and convenience, especially for those who will live and work in the high-tech hub.
