Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin, who is also the presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, holds a conference to discuss the governmental draft resolution On Indicative Prices of Energy and Electric Power in the Republics of Dagestan and Karachayevo-Circassia for the Year 2010
Taking part in the conference were officials from the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Justice, the Federal Tariffs Service and from a number of industry organisations.
In Dagestan and Karachayevo-Circassia, the indicative price of electricity, or the average wholesale price, is now nearly 50% higher than in the other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.
The participants of the conference discussed mechanisms for reducing indicative electricity prices in these two regions.
