Meeting participants discussed providing the rocket and space industry with the latest electronic components capable of withstanding conditions in space. They also discussed the appointment of chief designers to direct the development of key military equipment.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Kostroma Region Governor Igor Slyunyayev discussed the situation in the region, particularly the agro-industrial complex, exports, and the labour market.
The need was noted for supporting the efforts to stabilise the situation at the plant, in view of its strategic importance. The fact was stressed that AvtoVAZ employs over 130,000 people.
On opening the meeting, Mr Zubkov said that in 2009 Russia would produce 3.7 million tonnes of sea food, and that its share of the domestic market would reach 70%.
"Our dialogue has been rather intensive. The exchange of opinions we had confirms our mutual striving for further development of bilateral partnership that is based on the principles of trust, equality and mutual advantage."

Vladimir Putin and Oleg Betin discussed the social and economic situation in the Tambov Region.
Mr Sechin told the meeting that Russia proposed holding an international conference involving OPEC countries, independent oil producers, major oil companies, investors and the expert community in Moscow in the autumn of 2009.
