At the meeting, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Yevtushenkov discussed the surface-based work on GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and the commercial aspect of its launching.

During the meeting, the two men discussed the preparatory work on sites for schoolchildren's summer holidays, the organisation of various competitions, the financial position of sports clubs, and the possibility of Russia hosting the Football World Cup in 2018.

The meeting discussed integrated development projects.

During the meeting Vladimir Putin and Andrei Fursenko discussed problems of national research universities.

Mr Sechin said Russia had created sufficient gas reserves to facilitate reliable deliveries for the domestic market. "We have gas, and our customers will not suffer," Mr Sechin stressed.

“We are well aware of our responsibility for preserving the achievements of Russian-Ukrainian partnership. That is why we make it a point to be circumspect and behave appropriately as we seek mutually acceptable approaches to the problems we share.”

A number of documents were signed following the meeting of the Russian-Ukrainian Committee on Economic Cooperation.
