The Government Council on Grants for the support of research conducted under the supervision of leading scientists at Russian institutions of higher learning, state academies of sciences and state research centres (hereinafter the Council) is a permanent consultative body, established to issue government grants in support of research conducted under the supervision of leading scientists at Russian institutions of higher learning, state academies of sciences and state research centres (hereinafter Grants). The Council acts in accordance with the Constitution, federal constitutional laws, federal laws, executive orders and resolutions of the President, executive orders and resolutions of the Government, and these Provisions.
