The Government Commission for Integrating Information Technologies in the work of the Government and Loсal Administrations is a body established to coordinate the activities of the federal and regional bodies of executive authority in the development and implementation of state policy in the use of information technologies in public administration, including the establishment of information society and an e-government in Russia.  

The commission's key responsibility is to coordinate the activities of the federal and regional bodies of executive authority to:

а) develop a unified policy in the area of the development and use of information technologies in government administration;  

b) develop and implement measures aimed at expanding the use of information technologies to improve the quality of state and municipal services and provide easy access to them for individuals and organisations;

c) increase the effectiveness of the use of information technologies in government activity;

d) improve the interdepartmental cooperation and internal activity of government bodies with the help of information technologies.
