Chairman of the Government Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad

The Commission is a coordinating body of the Russian Government, established to ensure coordinated action of the federal executive bodies in pursuing the country's state policy with regard to Russians residing abroad. 

The Commission has the following responsibilities:

  • to coordinate the work of federal and regional executive bodies in pursuing the country's state policy with regard to Russians residing abroad;

  • to control the work of federal executive bodies on implementing key government policies with regard to Russians residing abroad, such as distribution of government funds allocated for this purpose;

  • to handle other issues related to the implementation of state policy in this sphere.
