Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has decided to change his plans because of the terrorist attacks in the Moscow Metro system and return to the capital.

The planned meeting on developing professional education will be postponed.

The prime minister has also cancelled an appearance at the Interregional conference of United Russia's regional branches on Siberia's social and economic development strategy till 2020 and the related programme for 2010-2012. The conference will be postponed as well.

"The event has already begun but Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will meet with conference participants later. We will announce when and where the meeting will be held," the prime minister's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
