Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak meets with representatives of the British business community

The meeting was held to discuss the participation of British companies in organising and hosting the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

The meeting was attended by President of the state corporation Olympstroi Taimuraz Bolloyev, President of the Sochi 2014 steering committee Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister Counsellor (Economics and Trade & Investment) at the UK Embassy in Moscow Caroline Wilson, Chairman of the Major Sports Project Advisory Group at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Jon Tibbs, and top managers from British architectural and consulting firms.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Kozak noted that positive trends are taking shape in the economic relations between Russia and Britain, citing the broad interest expressed by British businesses in the Russian Olympic project. Mr Kozak said that the organisers of the Sochi Olympics have developed close and transparent working relationships with their colleagues on the London 2012 organising committee. Minister Counsellor Caroline Wilson thanked the organisers of the 2014 Olympics for their constructive work with British companies and noted that many of these companies are already participating in various projects to prepare for the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
