Prime Minister Vladimir Putin first inspected a tent designed for the temporary accommodation of emergency victims. Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the tent could withstand temperatures as low as 45 degrees below zero and accommodate up to 10 to 12 people. 

Mr Shoigu also showed Mr Putin the Strelets wireless fire alarm system - a bracelet allowing its user to contact a fire brigade or mobile headquarters much more quickly than usual.

"How much is the bracelet?" Mr Putin asked. "A little over 1,000 roubles. It will be cheaper if it is produced commercially," Mr Shoigu replied.

Mr Shoigu also used special monitors to show the prime minister the Emergencies Ministry's other new equipment, including a multipurpose motorboat with a maximum speed of up to 60 km per hour.

Finally, Mr Shoigu spoke about his ministry's production of fire apparatuses in cooperation with leading foreign companies and informed Mr Putin about plans to build a robotic drone which will be used for training for operations following chemical, radiation and other attacks, as well as for mine clearing. The drone will be used by multiple government agencies.
