As part of his working trip to the Northwestern Federal District, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits the Grazhdansky cattle-breeding plant in Zaporozhskoye, Leningrad Region
The Prime Minister studied the process of producing milk and was shown the range of dairy products. Mr Putin himself handed First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov and Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik a cup of baked milk. "I am the bartender today, wait for the foam to go down," he said jokingly.
After examining the wage increase diagram, the Prime Minister noted that in 2009, the average monthly wage of the plant's workers was 15,500 roubles, compared to 1,500 roubles in 1999.
