Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov held the Russian side’s meeting of the Russian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation
The commission discussed preparations for its session in New Delhi, India on December 3, 2008.
This session will focus on implementing a task set at top level - to increase bilateral trade to $10 billion by 2010.
At present, bilateral trade grows by more than 30% a year. In 2007, it topped $5.3 billion, and in January-August 2008 it stood at $3.88 billion, an increase of 41.6% as compared to the same period in 2007.
