Participants:
After some discussion, members of the Commission approved the proposed changes to the customs tariffs on a number of goods.

After some discussion, members of the Commission approved the proposed changes to the customs tariffs on a number of goods, notably to lower customs duties on imported components for solar panels (from 15% to 5% for strengthened glass and from 10% to zero for photosensitive semiconductor equipment). At the same time, customs duties on plastic fittings such as plugs, lids and caps will be raised from 10% to 15% and will stand at no less than 1 euro per kilogramme.

The proposal to lower the duty on quarry trucks with a gross weight of 150 metric tons from 25% to 5% will be presented for approval after it has been discussed within the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Commission members recommended that the government extend the protective customs duty to embrace South Korean fibreglass mesh used for the production of abrasive goods and other fibreglass mesh (used in construction, road-building, etc.). The tariffs will amount to 14.2% and 33.4%, respectively.

It was also decided that it would be expedient to prolong the current protective customs duty on large-diameter pipes at 8% of the customs value for another 12 months.

The proposal to introduce anti-dumping duty on bearing pipes made in China was returned for additional consideration.

Commission members approved the proposed methods for examining the efficiency of anti-crisis decisions taken to increase import customs duties.

In conclusion, the Commission ruled that it would be inexpedient to change the coefficients currently used to calculate export duty rates on light and dark petrochemicals.
