Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor

Participants:

Transcript of the beginning of the meeting:

Vladimir Putin: I am very glad to meet you, Ms Prime Minister. Our two countries have been developing friendly relations over the past few years. Trade turnover is growing and there are good prospects for cooperation in various spheres.

I know that Croatian business leaders are also interested in developing contacts in Russia. Potential joint projects, just like everything else pertaining to bilateral relations, are in the competence of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. We believe it should continue to play its role in initiating new projects, and in further developing the projects we discussed earlier.

Jadranka Kosor (as translated): Mr Prime Minister, first of all let me thank you for this meeting. I was looking forward to meeting you and giving you the best regards on behalf of our Government. I am very pleased to meet you.

This is our first meeting. But I hope that we will meet regularly in the future. I would like to highlight that I am very satisfied with our cooperation, although I admit that it could be more comprehensive and successful, especially on the economic side. This is what we will be working on together in the future.
