Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi continued to discuss various aspects of their two countries’ relations and current international issues

Participants:

The Italian Prime Minister was shown a Russian Beriev Be-200 aircraft, which the Russian Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief uses to extinguish fires in Europe and in the world.

Mr Berlusconi familiarised himself with the aircraft's technical specifications, and then boarded it for a short flight. During his flight, the jet executed an amphibious take-off and landing, and the Italian Prime Minister toured the cockpit and saw flight instruments. He also sat in the pilot's seat, which made a strong impression on him.

Today was the last day of Prime Minister Berlusconi's visit to Russia.
