Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov held a meeting of the Organising Committee for Russian athletes' participation in the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

When opening the meeting, Mr Zhukov, who is also the committee's chairman, announced: "Our main objective is to create perfect conditions for our athletes so that they may achieve the maximum results."

"The 2009 budget envisages achieving this goal," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
