Deput Prime Minister Igor Sechin visited Venezuela, where several agreements to promote bilateral economic cooperation were signed

Participants:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin attended the signing of the agreement on the establishment of a joint venture between Gazprom and PDVSA to provide oil and gas field services; an Appendix to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Technologies State Corporation represented by Prominvest and PDVSA on the establishment of a joint venture that will address environmental problems and provide oil and gas field services; and several other documents.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin attended the signing of several documents in the Miraflores Palace, including:

• The agreement on the establishment of a joint venture between Gazprom and Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) to provide oil and gas field services;
• An Appendix to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Technologies State Corporation represented by Prominvest and PDVSA on the establishment of a joint venture that will address environmental problems and provide oil and gas field services.

The parties have also approved the charter on the establishment of a joint venture to produce ceramic goods between OAO Ruskaolin and La Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana, which stipulates the construction of five ceramics plants. They also initialled the draft intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the fisheries.

The parties have also signed regulations on an intergovernmental Russian-Venezuelan commission on military technical cooperation.
