After the discussion, the commission approved the Ministry of Finance's draft of the main avenues of budget policy for 2009-2011.

The commission also discussed a draft concept of action on the labour market in 2008-2010. It suggested that the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development should submit within two months a draft plan for the concept's implementation and that both documents should be considered at one of its future meetings.

The commission also discussed the introduction of a new system of payment for federal public-sector employees. During the discussion representatives from national trade union associations made a number of proposals on improving legislation in this sphere. The Government and trade unions will consider them in the course of future consultations.

The commission reviewed the results of monitoring compliance with the decision to increase salaries to federal public-sector employees since February 1, 2008, the Government's draft resolution on benefits to those who are employed in hazardous jobs (shortened working week, additional annual paid leave, and higher salaries) and conditions of their granting, and a draft integrated plan for the tripartite commission's priority undertakings in the latter half of 2008 on implementing the General Agreement between the national trade unions, federal associations of employers, and the Government for 2008-2010.
