The participants in the meeting discussed the task of the federal bodies of executive authority in stimulating dialogue with European partners following the February 6, 2009 meeting between the Russian Government and the EU Commission, as well as the progress of talks on the new basic Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Russia and the EU.

The participants also discussed the coordination of efforts to establish the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, in particular the development of legislation for the Customs Union, the Common Customs Tariff, and the possibility of interaction between Russia and international economic organisations (WTO, EACT) in view of the completion of the establishment of the Customs Union.

The federal bodies of executive authority were issued practical instructions regarding the stimulus of these efforts.
