The First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov met a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Politburo member and Permanent Secretary of the CPV, Truong Tan Sang at the Russian Government House on June 18, 2008. Also taking part in the meeting was Chairman of the State Duma International Relations Committee , Konstantin Kosachev.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, including in the trade and economic sphere.
