Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin held a meeting of the government commission on the fuel and energy sector and reproduction of the mineral base

Participants:
The meeting discussed the Commission’s work and priority issues of the fuel and energy sector’s development.

The meeting discussed the Commission's work and priority issues of the fuel and energy sector's development. In particular, the participants approved a new wording of the regulations on the Commission, such as:

- The Commission's goals with due regard of new strategies, trends, and outlook for the sector's development;

- The composition and functions of the Commission and the procedure for its meetings and decision-making.

The Commission approved a programme of measures to facilitate the development of the fuel and energy sector and information on their implementation. The programme ensured a comprehensive view of the sector's development problems, taking into account the instructions of the President and the Government as well as over 40 new tasks set to corresponding federal bodies of executive authority.

To ensure control over the implementation of the programme, the Commission approved decisions to prevent violation of the approved deadlines for the programme's measures to facilitate the development of the fuel and energy sector as well as information on their implementation.

It was also decided that corresponding federal bodies of executive authority would submit to the Commission's secretariat information on the fulfilment of instructions in accordance with the established procedure twice a month.

The Commission's secretariat was instructed to monitor the implementation of the programme.

The approval of said decisions will ensure a comprehensive approach to solving problems hindering the development of the fuel and energy sector and monitoring of the programme's implementation, as well as allow for taking measures to punish officials guilty of failure to implement instructions.

The Commission also considered the investment programme of Transneft, which includes information about the development of Russia's oil pipeline network and the company's practical investment projects for the next few years.
