Having arrived in Igarka, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited multiple-well platform No. 4 of the Vankor gas and oil field, and inspected the technology used in the exploration and drilling of an oil deposit
The Prime Minister was informed, among other things, about the platform's equalizing system, which uses so-called "smart" extraction technology.
Putin also visited Russia's first centre for geological monitoring of drilling. Specialists in Moscow can monitor and, if need be, regulate drilling operations at remote oil wells.
The Prime Minister held a videoconference with the centre's experts.
