Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited exhibition pavilions at the International Air Show MAKS-2009

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was shown the Phobos-Grunt probe designed by the Lavochkin Research and Production Association.

Mr Putin visited the pavilions of the Federal Space Agency and of the United Aircraft Building Corporation which displayed civil and combat aircraft, pavilions with missile armaments and the pavilions of foreign aircraft builders.

The Prime Minister also visited the pavilions of the Russian Technologies State Corporation (Rostekhnologii) and the Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation. At the Federal Space Agency pavilion, Mr Putin was shown the plan of the Vostochny space center, and learned about Glonass satellites and the International Space station. Representatives of the Lavochkin Research and Production Association showed Mr Putin the Phobos-Grunt probe in operation.

The Prime Minister also visited the children's pavilion. Young inventors shared their ideas on air and space exploration. Afterward, Mr Putin posed for a photo with the children and gave several autographs.
