The mill will produce heavy-gauge plate for the oil and gas sector, ship and bridge building, and heavy engineering.

Mr Putin inspected the 5,000-mm Plate Mill together with the company's managers.

He also visited the shop housing the colour coating line and was shown plans for building a 2,000-mm cold rolling mill.
