The meeting participants discussed Honeywell International's participation in joint industrial modernisation projects with Russian partners. It was noted in particular that the corporation should engage in more active cooperation with regional businesses.

The conversation also touched upon Honeywell International's interaction with Russian universities, including the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the St Petersburg State Institute of Technology, and the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. In addition, the Honeywell International CEOs described how the corporation was working to establish a research centre based on the Skolkovo Innovation Centre to develop innovative solutions for the processing industry.
