Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Indian Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora discussed bilateral energy partnership

Participants:

The agenda concerned Russian-Indian trade and economic relations with an emphasis on the energy dialogue. In particular, the parties exchanged opinions on Indian participation in Project Sakhalin 1 and the prospects for extending Indian corporate participation in mining and processing oil and gas in Russia. 

They also discussed the prospects for Russian and Indian company partnerships in nuclear and electric power industries.
