Vladislav Surkov makes a working visit to the Kaluga Region

Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Government Staff Vladislav Surkov held a meeting with heads of the Kaluga Region’s territorial executive bodies and local governments on rendering state and municipal services.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that in accordance with the presidential executive order, up to 90% of citizens should be provided with access to one-stop state and municipal services at multifunctional centres by 2015.

In all, according to the Economic Development Ministry, nearly 30,000 counters should be opened for rendering state services.

Vladislav Surkov visited the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics in Kaluga and attended the presentation of the House of New Culture design concept.

The aim of the House of New Culture will be to spread information and leading technologies in the sphere of culture and personal organisation, and create an environment that will promote creativity and self-realisation among young residents of cities with a population of 50,000 to 500,000. Pilot Houses of New Culture will be built in Kaluga, Pervouralsk and Vladivostok (Russky Island) with the cooperation of regional authorities and the project’s private partners.
